Mico AI is a Discord bot for staff, whitelist, clan and partner applications. The AI scores each one and your team decides in one click. Here is how it works.
Mico Team, Mico

If you searched for "Mico AI" and are not sure you found the right Mico: this one lives in Discord. It is an application bot made by a small independent team, live since 27 March 2026, with its website and dashboard at micoapp.io. If you run a Discord server and choose people for something (staff, a whitelist, a team, a partnership), you are in the right place.
This page is the short tour: what Mico does, how to start, every command, what the plans cover, and where to get help. For how application bots work in general, read what a Discord application bot is.
What is Mico?
Mico is a Discord application bot with an AI reader built in. You post a panel, members apply, and every finished application lands in a private channel with a score and a short reason, so your team knows what it is looking at before opening the answers. A person still makes the call.
Mico, Mico AI, the Mico bot and Mico Discord are all names for the same thing. Its home on the web is micoapp.io, where the dashboard, the docs and the plans live.

- How to start
- Add Mico and run
/setup - Cost to start
- Free, with unlimited applications, plus 14 days of Premium when you post your first panel

- A small independent team, built and run from Romania, live since 27 March 2026
What does Mico do, from Apply to a decision?
- Panel with an Apply button
- Answers in DMs or on the web
- AI score and reason
- Private review channel
- Accept or deny, roles given
- The panel. A message with an Apply Now button in the channel you pick, posted as a classic embed or a modern card. Each panel has its own questions, reviewers and rules, so staff applications never mix with whitelist requests.
- Applying. Pressing Apply sends the member their application in DMs: one question at a time, with Previous and Next, and a Check my answers step before Send. Members whose DMs are closed press View Online and fill in the same application on the website, after signing in with Discord.
- The AI score. Once it is sent, the AI reads the answers and gives two scores out of 100: one for quality and one for how much it looks AI-written. A one-line reason comes with them.
- Review. The application arrives in your private review channel with the answers, the scores, the full text as a file, and the buttons.
- The decision. A reviewer presses Accept or Deny, with an optional note. The applicant gets a DM with the result, and the roles you picked are given or taken. Only the first click counts, so nobody decides the same application twice.

That is the whole review screen. Talk to them opens a private thread with the applicant when you want to ask something before deciding, and on Premium, History shows that person's earlier applications in your server.
What does the AI in Mico actually do?
The AI is a reader, not a judge. It does three things for every application:
- Scores quality from 0 to 100, measured against the expected answer you write for each question. That note is for the AI only. Applicants never see it.
- Scores how likely the answers were written with an AI tool, also from 0 to 100.
- Writes a short reason, so a reviewer knows why before reading every answer.
Questions you mark as identifiers, like name, age or time zone, are kept but not scored. An applicant who writes instructions to the AI inside an answer gets a low score, and your reviewers are told. Applicants never see any score.
By default a person decides every application. A panel can also accept anything above a score you choose, deny anything below one, or deny anything that looks too AI-written. All three are off until you set them. Where the score helps and where it is wrong is covered in AI application review on Discord and AI-written Discord applications.
How do you start with Mico?
Add Mico to your server
Keep the permissions the invite asks for ticked
Run /setup
With Manage Server. It makes or reuses a reviewer role, an apply channel and a private review channel, then posts a starter staff panel with AI scoring on
Apply once yourself
See exactly what applicants see, then accept your own test
Make it yours
Change the questions, reviewers, roles and rules with /panel in Discord or on the dashboard
/setup only runs on a server with no panel yet. After that, /panel is where you create more panels: from scratch, from a draft the AI writes out of a short description of your server, or by importing a panel another server shared in the community panel library.
The add button is on the start page, and the full walk-through is how to set up a Discord staff application bot.
Which Mico commands are there?
Every command is one menu for one job. Server settings need Manage Server. /review also works for the reviewer roles you give a panel.
- /setup
- One step to take applications: reviewer role, apply channel, private review channel and a posted starter panel
- /panel
- Create, edit, post, pause, share or delete panels, and see each panel's numbers
- /review
- What is waiting in the panels you review, search, and reviewer statistics
- /application
- For applicants, in DMs: continue an unsent application, or withdraw one that waits for a decision
- /subscription
- Your plan, what you used this month, and the bigger plans
- /whitelabel
- On Pro: Mico with your server's own name, bio, avatar and banner
- /vote
- Vote for Mico and spin the wheel for free Premium time
- /help
- What Mico does, how to start, and every command by topic
- /about
- What Mico is, with live numbers
- /ping
- Check that Mico, its database and Discord are answering
Each command, with who can use it and what it answers, is in the docs.
What can you do on the dashboard at micoapp.io?
Everything the commands do, in a browser. Sign in with Discord at micoapp.io and pick your server:
- Panels. One editor per panel: questions, who can apply, reviewers, AI scoring, messages and channels. When you save, the panel already posted in Discord changes with it.
- Applications. Every application with its answers, scores and status, to accept or deny from the browser. Reviewers see only the panels they review.
- Statistics. On Premium: applications over time, by panel, and what each reviewer decided.
- Subscription. Your plan, your trial, and where to upgrade.
Applicants use the same site. Anyone who applied through Mico can see their own applications there, and download or erase their own data at any time.
Is Mico free, and what do Premium and Pro add?
Mico has three plans, and every one of them takes unlimited applications. The free plan is a full application bot, not a demo. What changes between plans is how much the AI does each month and how much of Mico you can make your own.
| What you get | Free | Premium | Pro |
|---|---|---|---|
| Applications | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| AI scores each month, panels, questions and roles | A starter amount | More | The most |
| Your own colours, images and messages | No | Yes | Yes |
| Opening hours, cooldown, history, statistics, webhooks | No | Yes | Yes |
| Mico with your server's own name and avatar | No | No | Yes |
A server also gets 14 days of Premium free the first time it posts a panel, from /setup, /panel or the dashboard. It is once per server, needs no card and ends by itself, so there is nothing to cancel.
Exact limits and prices are on the pricing page, which reads them from the bot, so they are always current. What the free plan covers in detail: free Discord application bot.
How does the Mico vote wheel work?
Voting is the other way to get Premium without paying. Type /vote and Mico shows where to vote (top.gg and Discord Forge), what a spin can win and the current chances.
Every vote gives you a spin of the wheel on the vote page, and every spin wins some hours of Premium for a server you are a member of. The hours are added after any free time the server already has, so none are lost. Each server has a weekly cap, and servers that pay for a plan have no wheel.
Where do you get help with Mico?
The Mico Discord server is the support server. Questions, bug reports and ideas go there, and the team answers in it. Join it at discord.gg/7eJt5YrUDD, or press Support under /help in any server that has Mico.
- Docs. The setup guide and every command: micoapp.io/docs.
- Status. Whether the bot is up right now: the status page.
/pingchecks Mico from inside Discord. - Updates. What changed in each version: updates.
- Feedback. Send feedback under
/helpgoes straight to the team.
Applied to a server through Mico?
If Mico sent you questions in a DM, a server you are in uses it for applications and you pressed Apply there. That server's own team reads your answers and makes the decision, and you get a DM with the result.
You can continue an unsent application, or withdraw one that is still waiting, with /application in your DMs with Mico or on micoapp.io. If the DM never arrived, your DMs from that server are probably closed: here is how to fix it.
Who makes Mico?
Three people: the same small team that runs AI Ticket Bot, building and running Mico from Romania, with no funding round behind it. Mico went live on 27 March 2026. Today it runs in more than 300 Discord servers, more than 2,400 applications have been sent through it, and more than 1,100 of them were scored by the AI. The faces and the story are on the about page.
Is Mico the right bot for your server?
Good fit
- Servers that run staff, whitelist, tryout or partner applications more than once
- Teams that want one private queue and a second opinion on every application
- Admins who want it working in one command, for free
Not the right call
- Support tickets: Mico does applications only
- Moderation, bans or automod: Mico does not moderate
- File uploads or multiple choice: every question is a text answer
- Reviewer voting: the first Accept or Deny decides
- Bot messages in other languages: English only for now
