Terms of Service

By using Mico (the Discord bot and associated dashboard at micoapp.io/dashboard), you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, you may not use Mico.

1. Description of Service

Mico is a Discord application-panel bot and web dashboard that allows Discord server administrators to create and manage application panels, review submissions, and optionally use AI-powered scoring to evaluate responses. Mico is provided as a software-as-a-service (SaaS) product with free and paid subscription tiers.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use Mico (consistent with Discord's requirements).
  • You must have a valid Discord account in good standing.
  • If you are using Mico on behalf of a Discord server, you must have the authority to agree to these terms on that server's behalf.

3. Account and Access

  • Mico uses Discord OAuth for authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Discord account.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Mico to:

  • Collect personal data from applicants beyond what is necessary for legitimate application review
  • Discriminate against applicants on the basis of protected characteristics
  • Violate Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, circumvent, or abuse the service
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose
  • Spam, harass, or mislead applicants
  • Resell or sublicense access to the service without our written permission

Server administrators are responsible for ensuring that their use of Mico — including the applications they create and the data they collect — complies with applicable laws and Discord's policies.

5. Subscription Plans and Billing

Free Plan

Mico offers a free tier with limited features. The free plan is provided as-is and may be modified or discontinued at any time with reasonable notice.

Paid Plans

Premium and Pro plans are billed on a monthly basis. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal in your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to paid features until that date.

Price Changes

We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price.

“Unlimited” Features

Where a plan feature is described as Unlimited, this refers to the absence of a hard user-facing limit under normal usage conditions. In practice, internal system limits may apply — for example, certain counters may be capped at values such as 999 or 9,999 — to ensure platform stability and fair use for all users. These caps are not intended to be reached under ordinary use and do not constitute a material reduction of the advertised feature.

6. Refund Policy

Our refund commitment

We stand behind Mico. If we fail to deliver an advertised feature or something is not working correctly and our team cannot resolve it, you are entitled to a full refund — within 14 days of your first purchase.

14-Day Refund Window

You may request a full refund within 14 calendar days of your first subscription payment if Mico fails to deliver an advertised feature or a core function is not working correctly. This window applies to the first purchase only and does not reset on renewal.

To qualify, you must contact our support team describing the issue. We will make a reasonable effort to resolve it first. If we cannot provide a working fix within a reasonable time, a full refund of that payment will be issued.

Accidental Double Charge

If you were charged twice for the same billing period due to a billing error, we will refund the duplicate charge immediately upon verification.

Refunds are not available for:

  • Change of mind or no longer needing the service
  • Subscription renewals — the 14-day window applies to the first payment only
  • Forgetting to cancel before a renewal date
  • Issues caused by Discord outages, your own server configuration, or third-party services
  • Violations of these Terms that result in account termination or blacklisting
  • Features that are explicitly listed as unavailable on your plan tier

To request a refund, contact us via our Discord support server with your Discord user ID, the server it applies to, and a description of the issue. We respond to all refund requests within 3 business days.

7. Intellectual Property

  • Mico, its code, branding, and website content are our intellectual property.
  • Your application data (questions, answers, settings) remains yours. We do not claim ownership over content you create using Mico.
  • By using Mico, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and display your content as necessary to operate the service.

8. AI Features

  • AI scoring is an optional feature that uses OpenAI's API to evaluate application responses.
  • AI scores are advisory only — final acceptance or denial decisions rest with your server's reviewers.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, fairness, or bias-free nature of AI scores.
  • Server administrators are responsible for ensuring AI-assisted decisions comply with applicable laws.

9. Uptime and Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in our support server where practical. We are not liable for losses resulting from service interruptions beyond our reasonable control.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Mico at any time if:

  • You violate these Terms of Service
  • Your Discord account is suspended or banned
  • Your use of Mico causes harm to other users or the service
  • Required by applicable law
  • Your Discord server violates the Community Panels guidelines (e.g. publishing prohibited content) — this results in a permanent blacklist with no appeal

You may stop using Mico at any time. On termination, your server's application data will be deleted within 30 days unless you request immediate deletion.

Servers that are permanently blacklisted forfeit any active subscription and are not eligible for a refund, regardless of when the subscription was purchased.

11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Mico is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Mico, including but not limited to lost profits, data loss, or reputational harm.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of Mico shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to binding arbitration or the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will provide at least 14 days' notice of material changes via our support server or dashboard notification. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
